Amazonite

Virtues in lithotherapy, characteristics and history

AMAZONITE

Amazonite is a variety of microcline. It is also called green feldspar or Amazon stone.

Amazonite is a green, bluish-green or blue-green, translucent to opaque mineral. This color would be due, according to the most probable hypothesis, to the presence of small amounts of lead and water in its chemical composition.

It's a fine stone , formerly semi-precious stone but this designation is prohibited from a commercial point of view.
