Smoky quartz , also called smoky quartz or morion, is a quartz like amethyst , citrine, rose quartz or even rock crystal .

Smoky quartz can be purified with pure water , pure salt or salt water .

Let your stone soak in pure water for about 4 to 5 hours or in salt water for about 2 to 3 hours .

To purify your smoky quartz with pure salt , we advise you to use the method of indirect purification with pure salt.



Smoky Quartz recharges in sunlight .

To recharge it, you can leave your stone for 2 to 3 hours in a bright room .

Be careful not to leave your stone exposed to direct sunlight.

You can also recharge your smoky quartz on a cluster of rock crystal .

Recharging on rock crystal takes about 1 hour and can be done day or night.

The Egyptians used smoky quartz to make engraved objects and beads. In the Egyptian tradition, smoky quartz cabochons were sometimes associated with mummies with animal heads.
